Data transfer between applications on an iOS device

Data transfer between applications on an iOS device

This procedure explains how to transfer the application data from the generic 3DSizeME app to a Custom app on the same iOS device.

Getting started

  1. The 3dsizeme application with the data to import (do NOT delete 3dsizeme before finishing importation - all data will be lost!).
  2. The new application to which the data will be transferred.

Steps to follow

1. Go in the 3DSizeME app, in the settings

2. Scroll down to the Backup section and click on ‘Export’.

3. Open the Files app on your device

4. Click on ‘On my (device type)', then ‘3DSizeME’ and ‘Export’.
5. Click on the 3 little dots in the top right corner and click on ‘Select’, then ‘Select All'

6. Click on the 3 dots, bottom right corner, then ‘Copy’.

7. Go back to the previous screen of the file App that lists the folders, either by killing the app or pressing the back arrow in the top right of the 3DSizeME folder. Then, press on the new App that will receive the data, then select the ‘Export’ folder

8. Press and Hold your finger in the middle of the screen, then press on  ‘Paste’. You should see the files being transferred.

9. Start the new App on your device.
10. In the settings, then scroll down to the Backup section and click on ‘Import’.

11. Close the settings. The imported data is now available in the new App.
