Dorsum +
imprint is one of the scan modes in the application that require more than one
scan and will require a merging of both scans to process. Like other multi-scan
modes, physical markers are strongly suggested to identify reference points that
can be used on the scan.
For this
scan mode, the easiest way to create a reference is by marking the corners of
the foam box directly in the foam itself. To do so, we suggest 3 markers: two
on one side, and one on the other. By marking the 4 corners, this creates a
risk that the sides will be aligned incorrectly for the reconstruction. By
having sides marked differently, this helps match the sides when aligning both
parts of the scan.
One of
the suggested ways to mark the foam box is with a simple pen, as illustrated
below. The important part is to mark the same depth so that the point
can be matched at the same height in the alignment for the software.

Wrong position The distance is good, but the scan zone is incorrect because the two front dots are on the foam box instead of being on the floor, like the one on the left side. Good position All three positioning dots are on the floor around the foam ...
Note that the clusters of targets put on the head will be used as a starting point (or reference point if tracking is lost) during the scanning process. To begin with scanning, follow these steps: Once ready, start the scanning session by pressing ...
Wrong position The foot is out of the foot gauge, hence, one of the three points around is on the foot instead of being on the flat surface, causing a slanted scan box. Good position The distance is good, confirmed by the three green dots, that are ...
