Getting the full power of the USB Port while scanning

Your scanner may sometimes be disconnected for unknown reasons.

To help fix and prevent this issue, one of the possible ways to do so is adjusting the USB settings in the device manager, to help prevent the scanner from lagging and disconnecting while scanning.

To do so, follow theses steps. Please note that administrative rights on the computer or profile are required.
  1. Access the device manager. This can be done by searching "device manager" in the start menu.
  2. Open the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section
  3. Right cllick any device that says "USB Root Hub" and select properties
  4. Select the Power Management tab and unclick the check box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
