How to process a RAW file

How to process a RAW file

As a clinician or C-Fab, to help us improve 3DsizeMe, you may need to process your scans as RAW files.

To do so, please follow these steps.

Sending the file

Before processing, please ensure the device the file will come from has an email account setup to send files

Go to the 3DsizeMe settings and check the box “Generate raw file on submission”.

By default, the box will be ticked off, as pictured above. Clicking it will tick it.

Upload the desired scan using the cloud button. An information box will appear mentioning that the raw file option is enabled. Click on continue and send the scan by email. If your files were already uploaded by email, this will be the same process, but the attachments will be different.

By using this process, the file will be sent by email.

Processing the file

The receiver will need an iOS device compatible with 3DSizeMe to process the file.

Press and hold the RAW file to save it on your iPad. Save the RAW file under the following option: On my iPad/3DsizeMe/Export.

Open 3DsizeMe and go to the settings section. Then scroll to the “Backup” section and click the “Import” button.

Close the settings, go back in 3DsizeMe and you will see the scan, in iMed format, under the patient’s name.

Send this scan to your computer and process your scan as usual.
