By using MSoft or the independent PocketLinq software made
by Qwadra Quebec, files can be uploaded directly to your computer using your Wi-Fi
network.
To do so, you will need the following:
- The Apple device with the scans to upload
- A computer with MSoft/PocketLinq installed
- Both devices connected to the same network (a PC device can
be connected with a wire)
To start uploading files, the process needs to be started. Settings
for the Wi-Fi upload method can be found in MSoft under Edit – Options –
Advanced tab.
The section looks as such :
The interface will look different for MSoft and PocketLinq
but the functions are identical.
First setup
If this is a first setup, 3DSizeMe needs to be configured.
In 3DSizeMe, navigate to the settings, and under the iMed
section, set the upload to Wifi. This will prompt some settings to appear.
The information to be filled can be found in the software, under the IP
address and Port Number fields.
Uploading
When ready, press the “Start” button in MSoft (PocketLinq starts
working as soon as it is open).
If on a first setup, the checkbox can be activated to not
have to manually start the operation every time MSoft is open.
Once the listener is turned on, simply upload files in
3DSizeMe. To confirm uploaded files and access them, press the “Browse” button
to open the folder containing them. If at any point there is an error in the set-up, a message
will appear in 3DSizeMe confirming there is something wrong, usually indicating
that the software is not open and ready to receive files.
