Hand skeleton and measurements

Hand skeleton and measurements

In the hand processing workflow, MSoft allows for the addition of a skeleton on the hand. Adding this skeleton will provide additional measurements. This step assumes that the hand was processed and is at the final step post-reconstruction.

If you are unsure on how to add a skeleton, please refer to this page on alignment methods and how to add a skeleton.

When adding a skeleton to the hand, the markers should look like this:

Starting from the thumb, the colors should be in this order: red, purple, yellow, green and blue.

When adding the skeleton, the step is done automatically for hands. In the instance that the markers are added incorrectly, they will need to be corrected manually. The manual correction is done by dragging the points to the correct finger with the help of the mouse, similarly to other parts of the software like manual markers.

If the references are set properly, the hand should look like this in post-processing:

If you are unable to correct or manipulate the skeleton markers, please contact us directly and join the problematic file for further troubleshooting.
